Dance & Science Innovator-Social-Entrepreneur

A Proactive Initiative for Health & Fitness World renowned Michel Francois Jacques, member of the International Dance Council/UNESCO, bursts onto the scene with a new business endeavor that combines the elements of dance and science to introduce a ground-breaking wellness program.

Francois, a legendary ballroom dance pioneer armed with an Associate of Science degree in the Business of Music and Video, is a longtime resident of the City of Hallandale establishing his first Ballroom Dance Club called Luigi’s in Hallandale Beach in 1992.  The overwhelming buzz and success of the club afforded him the opportunity to expand his vision to open the first Multicultural Dance Club in 1994, inside “Kay’s Club” located at 1710 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd.  Both endeavors prolifically garnered the dance guru raved reviews that brought together thousands of people from all over the world to the City of Hallandale Beach in search of dance solutions that blended musicology and choreology to create a greater appreciation of self in relation to other people and cultures.

In 2007, while pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Filmmaking at the Art Institute of Fort-Lauderdale, Francois joined The International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.   This union with IADMS inspired Francois to create yet another ground-breaking business venture resulting from his extensive travels and study of Dance Medicine & Science in Greece, Germany, England, Japan, China, Europe and Central & South America. Fast-Forward 5 years and the dance icon returns to the scene with a revolutionary concept to create a one-stop-shop Dance Fitness Studio & Wellness Center franchise.

The luxurious 3,600 sq. feet facility heralds the namesake of his highly touted New Millennium Ballroom that debuted in Hallandale December 31, 1999.  The New Millennium Ballroom Health Center and Immediate Health Care Center annex was conveniently located at 2500 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd., Suite #T.  “This venture is personal to me.  It is a culmination of 30 years of my professional experience working in the realms of dance and the performing arts industry.  I am proud to share with the world a cognitive and holistic approach to help people live a healthier productive life” he adds.

The center’s unique programming served as a cornerstone to clients who seek a more personal approach in discovering their fullest potential. A remarkable team of experts has joined Francois in this unique endeavor to provide their services in integrative medicine, exercise physiology, nutrition, massage and physical therapy, dance therapy and life management.

The overall purpose of New Millennium Ballroom Health Center is to meet the individual needs of our clients to assure that they receive the TOTAL WELLNESS EXPERIENCE.  In addition to  the dance professionals the facility is also catered to families, children, corporations (public and private) who are seeking to explore an NEW approach to Fitness and Wellness that enables them to immerse their body, mind, and spirit into a new lifestyle  that celebrates the complete maximization of their truest potential”  says Francois.
